Here is an introduction that is long over due: Daudi Mohammed-Ameen joined The Optical Foundation’s board in 2019 before the start of the pandemic. Located in Ghana, Ameen manages all the on ground operations for The Optical Foundation.
His journey with TOF started 16 years ago when he met Dr. Carolina Kunnen during his education at the University of Cape Coast.
He says of this time: “After spending about 1 year working and learning with Carolina, TOF had successfully embedded the genes of providing access to eye health care to less accessible areas and children in my bones.”
Today, as a successful Principal Optometrist and the CEO of Advanced Eyecare Ghana, there is little that gives him more satisfaction than providing guidance and enhancing education to upcoming optometrists.
