The Optical Foundation proudly marks its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of unwavering commitment to enhancing vision care in Ghana. Since our inception, we have transformed countless lives through our eye care programs dedicated to education, research, and community outreach.

Accomplishments Over the Past 20 Years:

• Community Outreach Vision Care Programs: We have established and supported numerous vision programs in underserved regions, providing essential eye exams, glasses, and treatments to those in need.
• Education: In support of the local optometry schools, we have made lecturing tours available providing optometry students and practitioners insights into state of the art eye care development, techniques and technology.
• Research/Education: In supporting & celebrating deserving optometry students we had made travel grants available for to attend prestige optometry congresses.
• Mentorship/Research/Education: With the annual The Optical Foundation Early Career Award, we are making a mentorship program available to a deserving young optometrist who through their dedication is already making a difference in the field of optometry.
• Community: we are on the verge of launching our online community collaborative platform. The objective of this platform is furthering by sharing information about anything related to carrier and study options in the field of optometry globally.

Our success is a testament to the dedication of our donors, supporters, volunteers, partners, advisory committee and board members. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our mission of making eye care accessible to everyone in Ghana.
