The Optical Foundation would like to introduce its two new board members:

Mathieu Kunnen and Bianca van Leeuwen

They have been an addition to TOF team Since December 2013. Mathieu and Bianca are no strangers from The Optical Foundation.

Mathieu Kunnen the father of Carolina Kunnen, has been actively involved since the beginning of The Optical Foundation. Whether it was to spray paint the glasses orange for ‘Koninginnedag’ in 2009 (i.e. the former Dutch Queen’s birthday celebrations) or for organising of a shipment of equipment to Ghana, he has always been there for the Foundation.

In 2007, Mathieu visited the project in Ghana and since that visit, Ghana has a special place in his heart.

Bianca van Leeuwen is an optometrist and works at the Eye Hospital Sunbeam Amsterdam. Besides her work Bianca is very active as a volunteer in a Dutch organization called ‘Nederlands Contactlens Congres’ (NCC), which is the largest contact lens association in Europe. Bianca and Carolina have known each other since 2005 when they both worked at ‘Lens Utrecht’.

Bianca has been involved in The Optical Foundation since 2008 – always offered a helping hand in promoting activities of the foundation.

The Optical Foundation is very pleased that Bianca and Mathieu are now officially on our board. Welcome Mathieu and Bianca!
